I don't mean to derail your thread as I don't have a suggestion for you but I don't understand why Indian people doing non-Indian traditions which add more expense and don't really belong. It's not expected or required to have wedding favours, so spend the money on something that most people won't even give a second thought about and will most likely end up in the garbage? I don't get why people mix goray traditions with our own doubling the work, effort and cost not only for themselves but family, friends and guests. For example, brides maids who dress in the same suits walking down the gurdwara aisle before the bride carrying bouquets or throwing flower petals...why?? Be proud of your own traditions!!
