    Potential Picks & Returns

    #1
Sundin - Pittsburgh, Calgary, San Jose and Detroit

Its already assumed Toronto will assume ATLEAST 1 first rounder and a couple of other draft picks.

But who will be the center piece player to come back in the trade

    Pittsburgh - Jordan Staal
    Calgary - Mathew Lombardi
    San Jose - Ryan Clowe
    Detroit - Andrew Lilja

Outside of the pittsburgh possible offer, i'm not exactly wowed by those picks

I hear tucker and mccabe, there is interest for draft picks.

I saw GOOD RIDDANCE if we can move all those bums.

Leafs to move at the Draft deadline,

    Steen
    Ponikoversky
    Stajan
    Kubina
    Blake
    Tucker
    McCabe
    Sundin
    Gill

    and on waivers, Raycroft

Boy wouldnt it be nice to wake up the day after the draft, and see a bunch of rookies play for the leafs!

i've met stajan and talked to him. he's good guy. i think his game is slowly coming around and could develop with a good young core. steen is overrated by many teams so he could fetch good returns. other than i agree with everyone else. perhaps throw in antropov if the deal is right. in other words, there should be no real "untouchable" player.

This is a good case the longer the Leafs hold onto Sundin up to trade deadline, the more they can get for him in a trade. Why - cause he is playing well.

Play, play more, play well - the price goes up. Good time for the Leafs to fleece some teams.

I read one report for Sundin and some draft picks and Antropov for Marleau.

I wouldn't Antropov for Marleau because it doesn't seem Marleau can play under pressure. I used to think highly of that guy, but watching him under perform on a talented San Jose team had changed my opinion of him

I would definitely trade Antropov if i could get an upgrade like a Mike Cammerlari or some faster and younger who can handle playing in the Toronto market.

Lets face it, all the young toronto guys -stajan, steen etc can't develop in a toronto market because they handle the constant pressure. I'm sure all of these kids would of turned into fine players in a different market where the spotlight wasnt on them . But it takes a special type of kid to handle the toronto market.

Heck it took antropov for 5-6 years to get his game together, forget the injuries. After the first season, he never showed flashness of being good for a long damn time. Now that he's matured - I think he'll turn into a fine player. He rebounded nicely from his 10 games pointless streak or whatever it was. That takes maturity.

Hal Gill should be traded because he's cheap and i think he has only one year on is contract. He's a great 4-5 guy on any team and great on the penalty kill. We have enough of defence prospects that we can sub out 4 of our defenceman and call up the younger guys to play. Granted Carlos has to stay healthy and I think he'll be a fine young gun
